Role Mission:
Ensure operational excellence in the machining area through efficient management of people, processes, and production resources, guaranteeing productivity, quality, and safety, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the company’s industrial competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate CNC and conventional machining operations, ensuring adherence to production plans and deadlines
- Ensure proper execution of machine setups, adjustments, and validation of production processes
- Monitor and optimize key performance indicators such as OEE, productivity, scrap, rework, and cycle time
- Ensure efficient use of machines, tools, and fixtures
- Lead, develop, and engage a team of operators, setup technicians, and CNC programmers
- Promote technical training and continuous team development
- Foster a work environment focused on safety, operational discipline, and high performance
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity gains, and process improvements
- Support the industrialization of new products in collaboration with engineering and process teams
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production Planning (PCP), and Supply Chain to ensure smooth operations
- Support the implementation of new technologies, machining tools, and process improvements
Education:
- Technical degree or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields
- Solid experience in CNC machining processes within an industrial environment
- Previous experience managing production teams
Technical Skills:
- Turning, milling, and precision machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and dimensional tolerances
- Knowledge of industrial performance indicators (OEE, production efficiency, scrap)
- Experience with setups, cutting tools, and machining parameters
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar)
